AGMs

 The Board of Trustees meets monthly. In addition to Annual General Meetings, Extraordinary General Meetings may be held when the Board needs to consult with the members over significant decisions.

November 2022

The 16th AGM of the Islay Energy Trust was held on 9 November 2022 at Islay High School.

Glen Roberts, Chair, opened the meeting.  George Dean, Treasurer, presented the accounts for the year ended March 2022 and confirmed that these had been independently examined and no concerns had been raised.  The accounts have been lodged with OSCR and Companies House in line with statutory requirements.  A presentation illustrating the income and expenditure in detail was given.

There were two new nominations received prior to the AGM.  Tom Skinner and Richard Mansbridge were duly elected.  Martin Winlow, Russell Pollock and Jim Porteous retired by rotation but were re-elected onto the Board.  Eileen Mackenzie and Richard Jagger stood down from the Board.


February 2021

The 15th AGM of the Islay Energy Trust was held on 3rd February 2021 online via Zoom.


Glen Roberts, Chair, opened the meeting. George Dean, Treasurer, presented the accounts for the year ended March 2019 and confirmed that these had been independently examined and no concerns had been raised. There had been no nominations for election received prior to the AGM. Three Directors (George Dean, Islay McEachern and Eleanor McNab) retired by rotation but were re-elected to the board.

February 2020

The 14th AGM of the Islay Energy Trust was held on 5th February 2020 at Islay High School.

The 13th AGM of the Islay Energy Trust was held on 24th October 2018 at Islay High School.

The 11th AGM of the Islay Energy Trust was held on 2nd November 2016 at Islay High School.

George Dean, Treasurer, presented the accounts for the year ended March 2016 and confirmed that these had been independently examined and no concerns had been raised. The accounts have been lodged with OSCR and Companies House in line with the statutory requirements. A presentation illustrating the income and expenditure in detail was given.

There had been no nominations for election received prior to the AGM. Deborah Bryce and Alex Dunnachie (both of Jura) were formally elected to the IET Board. One Director (Islay McEachern) retired by rotation but had expressed his willingness to continue.
The meeting was followed by presentations covering the Islay Energy Community Benefit Fund and the Wind Turbine Report.
